Requirements for joining AFH as an IFA

  • Currently working, or experienced in financial services
  • Proven track record of income generation
  • Minimum qualification: Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent
  • Experience in giving face-to-face financial planning advice
  • Strong cultural fit: client-focused and professional manner
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong client relations

AFH was founded in 1990 by chartered financial planner and CEO Alan Hudson. Today we have a 160+ strong adviser team serving approximately 10,000 clients, and £2.7billion of assets under management, making AFH a safe and stable firm to build your career with. Our in-house compliance team provides a framework of protection for you and your clients, ensuring you can deliver the results your clients need in even the most complex cases when they need them.

Headquartered in the West Midlands, our adviser reach spans much of the UK, enabling us to serve clients regardless of location. Although we have grown rapidly through a number of carefully chosen acquisitions, our approach has always been to use our increasing scale and buying power to reduce costs for clients – they’re at the heart of everything we do, irrespective of the service proposition a client chooses.

Ongoing support and development

We pride ourselves on providing our advisers with continued professional development opportunities and training through our newly integrated learning management system, alongside educating advisers about industry and market changes in our monthly consultant meetings. Through your attendance at these monthly meetings and further structured training sessions, AFH can contribute to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
