14th deal of the year boosts our presence
in Wiltshire and the South

Story

Just days after announcing our funds under management had topped £4bn, today we announced we're joining forces with Wiltshire’s Emery Little Financial Services in a deal worth £1.6m.

Wilton-based Emery Little was established 10 years ago and now has around 700 clients, mostly in Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.

Emery Little director Derek Gibbens, whose financial services career spans 30 years, will now become an AFH adviser.

“I had always seen AFH as a fabulous IFA business, with a great record of putting its clients first and a top quality service proposition,” Derek said. “Like many advisers, I saw that joining forces with a group that provided all the back-office support and investment expertise and left me free to be an IFA full time was a win for me and a win for my clients.”

As well as looking after his clients, father of 3 daughters Derek also works hard for local charities. Last year the golf day he arranged with the Salisbury and Wilton Chambers attracted 22 teams and raised more than £8,000. He also sponsors the charity award in the South Wilts Business of the Year Awards, organised by local Spire FM, and does charity treks with the Stars Appeal (Salisbury hospital’s charity).  In 2015 it was the Grand Canyon, in 2017 Machu Pichu, and in 2019 the Great Wall of China.

You should always seek professional advice before making any financial decision.
