AFH raised over £1000 for Mind in March

AFH are well under way with fundraising for Mind after a very successful month of events throughout March.

Spring quiz

Our quiz master Marie Yeo returned to host an evening of trivia and a chip shop supper at Aston Fields Sports and Social Club last Thursday 28th March.

With 9 rounds of questions there was something for everyone – from the standard sports, TV and music rounds, to a ‘Harry Potter’ round which helped to spread the scores out at half-time when the mega-fans had their chance to shine!

The winners of the evening, taking home a hamper of Easter treats and sweets as well as the sought-after champion’s trophy were ‘The Goode Girls (and boys)’ - a mixed bag of members from new business, sales and investment teams.

Most importantly, we raised a fantastic £347 for Mind - for better mental health.

Twenty-seven27 challenge

The team of 7 challengers took on the task of running 27 miles in 27 days, to raise  awareness of the 27 students who report a mental health problem whilst studying at University each year.

We are pleased to say a huge congratulations and well done to the team members below:

•Jenna Hall
•Kirsty Harding
•Jack Whitehouse
•Allie Newman
•Bobby Dhesi
•Amy Barlow
•Charly Morris

Between them they ran nearly 190 miles and have raised a fantastic £672!

March fundraising sub-total

With the quiz, the 27 challenge and a little help from our monthly car park raffle draw...

...the total funds raised in March comes to a whopping £1084!
