We’re also committed to supporting our employees at every stage of their career. That’s why we have signed up to the Menopause Workplace Pledge. Women’s health matters, and Menopause isn’t often talked about at work, but it’s where people can find their symptoms most difficult to manage. By making our workplace supportive when it comes to the menopause, we can help our employees' wellbeing, ensuring an inclusive workforce, and an increase in our productivity. Everyone benefits!
One of our values, Integrity, is an important focus for AFH. We believe in doing the right thing and over the past 4 years, our Community have raised over £30,000 for various charities including; Birmingham Women’s Hospital, Crisis, Mind and, most recently, Alzheimer’s Society, where we raised over £10k in 2022 alone.
Fundraising is not only a chance to give back, but to get all of our community involved in rewarding events such as; quiz nights, raffles, sky dives, fancy dress and survival challenges. These events give the office atmosphere a real buzz and sense of community feeling.
Helping the environment
At AFH we care about our planet and the world that future generations will inherit. So we're committed to reducing our impact on the environment.
We're transferring to green energy in all our offices and we recycle as much as possible.
Hybrid working reduces our travel to and from the office and we utilise MS Teams to replace some business travel.
To reduce printing, we use ‘follow me’ within our offices, offer a ‘go paperless’ alternative for all our clients, and are continuing to move more of our communication on to digital.
