The festive period brings a time for togetherness and celebrations, so what better time for us to take some of our employees out to thank them for an incredible 10 years of service.
As a firm established for over 30 years, we recognise the people who have supported our growth and help us to provide a first-class service to our clients.
On Thursday 23 November, we held our annual 10-year Christmas meal. This year, over 60 employees joined CEO, Alan Hudson, at a restaurant local to our Head Office in Bromsgrove, where they were wined, dined and of course thanked for all their hard work and dedication over the years.
The right people in the right jobs
One of the guests was Karen Taylor, New Business Senior Administrator, who joined AFH in 2013. Karen gave her thoughts on her decade at the company:
“When I started working for AFH the company was smaller and I remember Alan being a part of the interview process at that time,” explains Karen.
“He said in my interview that AFH wanted to employ the right people; positive, hard-working individuals. That has stayed with me during my 10 years here. The company has grown considerably since then, and I can honestly say that employing the right people is exactly what has happened. I’ve seen quite a few come and go over the years and quite a few of those return… so what does that say?
“AFH has grown into a company that looks after its employees and that's thanks to the right people being in the right jobs and wanting to work hard.”
Staying for the long-term
Alan added: “I was delighted to host our 10-year lunch to recognise those who’ve given so much service to AFH, and really enjoyed catching up with everyone who joined us on the day. We want this to be a business where people stay for the long-term, so it’s fantastic that we have over 90 people who’ve been with AFH for more than 10 years.”
