We have now been retired for three and a half years and live on the northern Costa Blanca and couldn't be happier with our new life, safe in the knowledge our clients are being looked after by the team at AFH.
I started working in Financial Services in 1982 and built up a very loyal client base. Many clients had been with me long before I established G Force Financial Ltd, a Directly authorised business, based in Cheshire.
We were introduced to three potential purchasers and all three were people we could have worked with; a small 2-man company, a mid-sized company and AFH. The 2-men were looking for their first acquisition and they made the lowest offer. The mid-sized one had made a few acquisitions and offered us considerably more than AFH, but they wanted us to stay on for a six month handover which didn't suit our plans. They also had a semi-tie situation which, whilst they explained how they were independent, we couldn't get our heads round it.
Of course, our initial and subsequent meeting with Alan Hudson was very largely what we based our impression of AFH on. Although the offer was lower, we could see that not only we, but also our clients, would be in safe hands and the AFH tried and tested process made the whole experience generally easy for us.
Our sale to AFH completed on 30th June 2017 and we emigrated to Spain on the 1st August.
The AFH business reporting and accounting was faultless. Payments were made in full and on time.
The feedback we have had from clients has been good with just a couple of exceptions and we have felt confident to leave all future client contact to AFH and simply enjoy our retirement.
