I was told after spinal surgery, and due to the permanent damage caused, I would never be able to run at speed for any longer than 10 minutes. With grit and determination, I completed a half marathon within two hours.

I joined the financial services profession three years ago, after a career in the Royal Military Police spanning 18 years, and the hostile private security industry, working in Iraq and Afghanistan. My son's arrival made me realise I still wanted a challenging career but I also wanted to spend time with my family. I enjoy meeting and helping people, and being a financial adviser offers me that.
